Brief

Sturgeon Capital shortlisted two design agencies to create a brand and identity for a revolutionary new office concept, housing 7,000 plants and harvestable crops with the initial space in Kings Cross. The building would be a pioneering workspace built with integrated urban planting and designed to nurture the wellbeing and success of everyone who encounters it.

Graphicks were appointed based upon the strength of our research based strategic approach and initial creative ideas that went beyond the initial brief.

Research

This site would be the first building in Europe to enhance occupier performance through nature and beauty; an attractive proposition for tenants to retain employees in an efficient and sustainable environment. Looking at all the elements; historical, geographical, and building purpose the Graphicks creative team proposed the name Plantworks, a name that perfectly described the building and could also be used in other geographic locations including across Europe.

Creative Design

We provided the client with a range of logo options, based on the Plantworks name. The client selected our stylised leaf logo representing the coming together of office, wellness and green planting which sits perfectly with this new fresh proposition. A website and sales brochure were designed using powerful imagery and key statistics to bring the space to life for potential clients.

Results

“I was really impressed with Graphicks for understanding and challenging the brief. The end result was just what we needed to position our unique offering in the London property sector. We now have a name and identity that we can roll out to other buildings across Europe.”
